‘Once Upon a Time’ fans can look forward to more Belle in third season

[ Written on May 29 2013 by Sarah ]

Today Wetpaint reported Emilie de Ravin was not only promised for season regular for “Once Upon a Time”s third season, but that she would be featured more prominently in Storybrooke while the Charmings, Captain Hook and Rumplestiltskin rescue Henry Mills in Neverland.

After the season finale, “Straight on Till Morning” aired early in May, speculation even had it that Belle was in line as Storybrooke’s new Mayor, as she had been trusted by Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) with a cloaking spell to protect the town in his and Regina Mills’ absence.

She would be running against some pretty influential characters, such as Granny, Leroy, and Dr Hopper.
Reporters from TV Guide have confirmed that Belle will regain her strength once again after having her memories returned from being Lacey, which she will need in order to protect Storybrooke.

This will not be the first time Belle’s had a solo adventure. In episode 2.11, “The Outsider” Belle showed her true bravery facing down the feared Yaoguai, and in breaking its curse, freeing Prince Phillip. She has also stared down Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) not once, but twice, fans are pretty confident Belle can help protect and run Storybrooke until good wins once more, and she will once again be reunited with her True Love.

“Once Upon a Time” will return this fall for Season 3 on ABC.
